Full-fashioned knitwear already has a sustainable soul, since, being shaped, scrap is reduced to a minimum, and if there is, it can often be reused, as well as the yarn, for another item.
If the yarn cannot be recovered, scraps and non-usable yarns are given to a partner specialized in the production of regenerated yarns, to give new life to raw materials, through a completely traceable process, and create new sweaters and accessories.
We have reduced the use of fossil-fuel energy over 10 years ago, by installing a photovoltaic plant in our facility. We choose eco-compatible detergents for treating, washing and finishing our garments, and we are working to reduce the use of plastic and paper down to a minimum, by choosing alternative materials and digitising our processes.
We always strive to continuously improve our company. This is why we started an analysis of the emissions generated by our knitwear production processes.
We want to measure the impact that Maglificio Venezia’s work has on the environment, with the aim of creating a model to make our processes more efficient, and thus significantly reduce our emissions in the near future.
